The applications of using silicon dioxide as Silica Matting Agent should be performed with silica Matting Agent's own

chemical properties.

1) QX-8900 silicon dioxide can be used as silica matting in acylic coating by forming a rougher surface on the coating.

Reducing the surface reflection valume to create a matte effect.

2) QX-8900 silicon dioxide can also be used as anti-caking agent and chemistry dispersant. Besides, QX-8900 silicon

dioxide can used as a rheological additive, anti-settling agent and dispersant, especially in liquid systems, silica can effectively

prevent the sedimentation and stratification of pigments.

3) QX-8900 silicon dioxide has nanosize particles and at the same time, it can also disperse well. Then, what will make our

QX-8900 silicon dioxide has such good performances? It is due to our silicon dioxide has hydroxyl on its surface.

This makes our QX-8900 silica dioxide can cross-link the polymers in the paint, increasing the density and adhesion of

the paint, thereby improving the paint's anti-corrosion properties and system performance.

4) QX-8900 silica dioxide can not only change coating's appearance and physical parameters, but also change coating's

durability and corrosion properties.The modified nano-silica also has strong hydrophobicity, which can enhance the

anti-corrosion performance of paint.
