Silicon dioxide is the raw material for manufacturing glass, quartz glass, water glass, optical fiber, important parts of the electronics industry,

optical instruments, handicrafts and refractory materials, and is an important material for scientific research.

Silicon dioxide, as an environmentally friendly and excellent additive, is mainly used in rubber products, textiles, papermaking, pesticides, and

food additives. Silicon dioxide is used in colored rubber products to replace carbon black for reinforcement to meet the needs of white or

translucent products. The light-transmitting and small particle size of gas-phase silica can make plastics more dense. After adding gas-phase silica

to polystyrene plastic film, not only its transparency, strength, and toughness are improved, but also its waterproof and anti-aging properties are

significantly improved. The hardness, finish and anti-aging properties of plastic steel doors and windows produced by adding a small amount of

gas-phase silica to ordinary plastic polyvinyl chloride are greatly improved.

When silicon dioxide crystallizes, it becomes crystal; after silica gelation and dehydration, it becomes agate; after the hydrous silicon dioxide colloid

solidifies, it becomes opal; when the silicon dioxide grains are smaller than a few microns, they form chalcedony, flint, and secondary quartzite. It is

a mineral resource with very stable physical and chemical properties. The crystal belongs to the oxide mineral of the trigonal system, that is, low-temperature

quartz (α-quartz), which is a widely distributed mineral species in the quartz family. The broad sense of quartz also includes high-temperature quartz (β-quartz).

Quartz block, also known as silica, is mainly the raw material for the production of quartz sand (also known as silica sand), and is also the raw material for quartz

refractory materials and sintering ferrosilicon.
